Happy 2024 from all of us here at StageAgent! As we begin a new year, it is the ideal time to refresh yourself with the huge range of show guides StageAgent has to offer. At over 2,400 guides, there is definitely something for everyone. And we’re adding new guides all the time! So let’s take a quick look at just some of the latest show guides to land on StageAgent.

If you’re a musical theatre fan, why not check out our brand new guides to exciting shows such as The Little Big Things and Police Cops. Both shows have been wowing London audiences this year with The Little Big Things running until March 2024. Based on the Sunday Times best-selling autobiography by Henry Fraser, the musical follows Henry and his family in the aftermath of a diving accident that changes their lives forever. Meanwhile Police Cops offers a hilarious homage to your favorite 80’s cop shows, full of gags, witty dialogue, and physical comedy. If you have a sweet tooth, don’t forget to check out our guide to the 2022 musical The Great British Bake Off!

Or perhaps jukebox musicals with killer soundtracks are more your thing! We have recently added guides to Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and Escape to Margaritaville, the 2017 musical based around the music and “island escapism” of Jimmy Buffett.

If you’re looking for a beautiful story with a small cast, check out our new guide to Andrew Lippa and Tommy Greenwald’s two-hander John & Jen. Or find out more about Elegies, William Finn’s song cycle that pays tribute to loved ones, long-lost pets, and the victims of 9/11 through 18 different stories.

And what about plays I hear you ask? Well we have a huge range of new play guides just waiting to be explored. From plays in the public domain (Why Marry, Votes For Women, Fourteen, and Bound East For Cardiff), to kitchen sink dramas (Roots, Chicken Soup With Barley, and I’m Talking About Jerusalem), to contemporary hits (Prima Facie, The Columnist, Life of Pi, and Stage Kiss), there is sure to be something that takes your fancy.

We have also added a number of new play guides that are ideal for high school or middle school performers. The Case of Alex Hansen invites conversations about justice and fairness, while Oz has minimal set requirements and a flexible ensemble cast, making it an ideal option for young performers. Or, you can check out our guide to Don Zolidis’ The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon, which provides a madcap ride through all 209 of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales.

So whether you want to dive back into a favorite show or find inspiration for something new, happy show guide reading for 2024!
